Business Evacuation Plan

This is a document that tells employees on what to do in the event of an emergency, who to contact etc.
The plan is a floor diagram of the building that shows emergency exits, & location of fire fighting equipment.
This is a must for all buildings to comply with the Aust building codes as well OHS legislation.
All new employees should study this document on the first day of employment and the plan should be updated if any changes are made to the buildings internal structure.
The brief the document outlines the following:
- Building information
- Who to contact in emergency
- Assembly area in event of fire, bomb or terrorist threat
- Nominated person in charge
- Emergency phone numbers (Fire, Police & Ambulance)
Emergency plan is a diagram of each level of the building and shows the emergency exit points throughout the building as well as locations of the fire extinguishers, fire hoses & hydrants. Also a glow in the dark torch is placed beside these plans in a sealed but container in case of emergencies.
These plans are generally placed in high traffic areas as well staff kitchens etc.
You are supplied with a hard copy folder with the relevant information as well as a number of plans which vary in size depending on each individual business requirements.
