YES! We test three phase (polyphase/415V) equipment at the same rate as single phase appliances.

How much do you charge?

We charge per appliance that we test. We do not charge extra for three phase equipment nor for powerboards. Our prices start from as low as $3.00 per appliance. Contact the friendly staff in our office for a quote.

How often do I need to test?

The testing interval depends on the environment in which the appliance is being used. The harsher the environment then the more likely the appliance is to be damaged, hence there is a requirement for a reduced time between testing. APPLIANCE Test & Tag

Appliance Test & Tag

ATTS Facilities Maintenance is dedicated to providing you with the best service to make you totally compliant with WorkCover requirements. We will test all of your appliances to the Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760 and perform all other necessary tasks, such as record keeping, as is required by the Australian Standard.

We are also able to provide this service Australia wide to satisfy businesses with exposure in every state. We benefit the client by offering a range of similar services in addition to appliance testing & tagging to ensure your business is compliant with Australian Standards. With the quantity of services offered, it must be complimented by offering a quality service to the customer and is not something that we take lightly.

Procedures

  • One of our experienced technicians will arrive at the arranged time and introduce themselves to the client's representative.
  • The technician will survey which appliances are due for testing. Once starting work, the tech will proceed to inspect these appliances for any visual damage including cuts & nicks with exposed conductors on the lead.
  • A barcode is applied to all tested appliances, so that an accurate asset register can be maintained. The asset register can also be used for insurance purposes, as recorded against this barcode is all available information, such as manufacturer, model and serial number. The barcode is scanned and information is digitally recorded into a PDA for later import to our database.
  • The technician will then perform an electrical test on the item using a portable appliance tester (PAT) and the result is recorded.
  • A test tag will be applied to all items that pass according to Aust Standard AS/NZS 3760. The test tag will show test date as well as next test due.
  • For items that fail any of the above tests, a danger / out of service tag will placed upon the item indication reason for failure. The item will either be removed from service and handed to the client, or the client will be made aware of the fault as soon as practical. The technician will record the details for the failure in a book which the client is requested to sign at the end of each day. A copy is then handed to the client and the original is returned to ATTS where a more detailed report is completed and supplied with the appliance register upon completion.
  • Upon completion, a register will be provided in hard and/or soft copy. A certificate is provided also, acknowledging compliancy to the relevant standards.
  • In addition, "New to Service" tags are available to the customer at no additional cost and can be applied when new items are purchased, as new items do not require testing under the Standard. This ensures the client remains compliant, and prevents an unnecessary call out to tag a few items.
  • The test records are then entered into our database and the client will be reminded when tagging next falls due. An estimated quantity and cost will also be provided for convenience.

Our technicians are trained professionals, they are experienced in relation to testing and tagging and know exactly what is required of them to ensure our customers gain compliance and are satisfied with the quality of our work. As well as being well trained in the field of electrical testing, you will find our technicians to be very polite and considerate of the client's needs.

Our current customer base comprises of major retail chains, government organisations, large private sector companies, Hospitals etc. who have relied on us over the past 10 years to provide the above service.

Our pricing is very competitive and personalised, considering such things as quantity, accessibility and frequency. If you require further information or would like a quote, please do not hesitate to contact us
